Terms and Conditions

Inspection, testing and reporting the condition of an electrical installation, does not imply rectification of faults or defects, subject to where indicated otherwise below. Unless previously agreed and arraigned prior to inspection and testing.

1. Prior to testing or inspection, the client must declare all instances of permanently connected medical equipment then in use.

2. The client will switch off and disconnect all computers and related equipment, prior to testing and inspection.

3. No testing of equipment if more than 3M above finished floor level.

4. No insulation testing between live conductors.

5. Earth loop testing to all readily available socket outlets.

6. No testing of emergency lighting, security alarms, data cabling, TV areal or central heating circuits.

7. No testing of fire alarm or other specialised circuits.

8. No inspection of cables in loft spaces, No moving of insulation.

9. No inspection to take place under floorboards / underground / buried in brick or plaster, or within ducts etc.

10. No removal of bath or access panels.

11. 20% sampling will be carried out, if faults are found, sampling will be increased to 40%, if more faults are found, and the installation may be declared unsafe until overhauled.

12. It is assumed that ready access to all parts of the electrical installation is available.

13. No inspection or testing will be carried out if children are left alone in the property.
